From The Chairman

It is the responsibility of the party to champion the cause of conservatism.

This is best made possible by this committee if we seek out and support candidates that are conservative, and can articulate their views.

The party rules in Virginia state that we must “support the Republican candidate” and this is no easy task if the person doesn’t live up to the Republican creed.

It is critical that, as the Campbell County Republican Committee, we exercise good judgement and control to ensure that only conservative candidates are on the ballot as Republicans. We will no longer pander and reach across the aisle to moderates within the party. Those that are willing to compromise on our creed have no place with us.

We are to be a principle driven organization. If candidates have none, it makes it very difficult to get voters and volunteers excited.

There have been those in the past that have been more interested with regaining their seat of power than with supporting the committee. After causing problems for 18 months they chose to leave the party by their actions of not supporting the Republican candidates. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I said at the time when they left that they were only running as independents in order to get the vote of the Democrats. They scoffed at this, and yet this is exactly what happened. No more!

As you Chairman I will:

  • Work to raise money for the party and so we can support our candidates
  • Reach out to the Tea Party and other principle drive groups and work with them
  • Seek out candidates who are passionate conservatives
  • Provide conservative leadership and direction for the CCRC
  • Grow the unit with new, excited, conservative members

Thank You,

Kurt Feigel
Campbell County Republican Chairman
